A very special project, built over the course of several workshops entirely with natural materials. All the kitchen structures were built with adobe bricks made from local soil, sand and straw. All finishes (lime stucco and Tadelakt counters) were executed by Mano de Barro. The result is a beautiful and functional outdoor kitchen that is an expression of collaboration and the imaginative use of ecological materials. We finished the project with a pizza party at my house using the earthen oven I built for my wife’s sourdough bread business.
